Want success? Be consistent.

I’ve never met a person who had a definite plan for failure but I’ve meet a lot of people who have failed.  My own bucket of failures are great in number. I used to get discouraged as a result of things not going the way I planned until I realized I was not alone and frankly, no one cared about my failures as they had their own to worry about.

If I had to summarize the chief reason for my failures, it would be lack of consistency. I think back to my college days when I failed calculus (multiple times), it wasn’t that I was a complete dummy nor trying to develop new rockets or perform brain surgery. My problem was being consistent in studying the material presented in class. Each class builds on the next and if you get behind, your workload just doubled or tripled.

The same lesson applies in life. There are life lessons that act as building blocks. One experience (good or bad) prepares you for the next. If you don’t learn it the first time, you’re likely to experience the pain again and again and again. So hear’s the million dollar tip: learn from your experience and consistently apply the principles required to be successful.
