How long has it been since you cleaned house. I’m not talking about dusting the shelves and mopping the floors. I’m referring to a major life reorganization that requires you to assess everything you are doing. If you decide to take on this task(s), it will challenge you for sure.
Maybe you are like me, a recent “empty-nester” with a few good working years left to accomplish. If you are in this camp, you are a prime candidate to clean house. Yes, its a scary thought and you’ll likely want to give-up before the job is done. You will also want to wake up and hope all the work is done. There is a reason why many people don’t do this major life reorganization because it is indeed hard. Your greatest challenge is the mental hurdle you must jump over. In order to get the right mindset, let’s get some practice with cleaning our physical house. This too can be a huge task.
One way to accomplish this mammoth task is to break it down into smaller tasks that can be accomplished in one hour or less. Make a list of all of the tasks and try to accomplish at least one task per day. In order to feel/experience progress, lump all the task by room and stick to one room’s task list till complete.
So you may be wondering why would you want to go thru this exercise if you had no plans of moving. This physical house-cleaning process will be the foundation in tackling other major areas in your life such as your finances. Financial success is more about changing your mindset than making more money. You must have the right mindset to attract and retain a wealthy disposition. So go ahead, start your journey today by cleaning your house.
