Go ahead, take a minute and let your mind drift to a place where you had $1M. What does that life look like? Would the fact that you have significant resources change your life? Perhaps you would consider quitting your job and doing all those things that seems to always be out of reach due to lack of resources. I think this would likely be the same dream for many of us. At some point when the party/honeymoon is behind you, you would have to establish a life of balance and purpose. Some would call this “the really important stuff” that would bring you true joy. When all said and done, it’s very likely you will find the things that really matter are not directly tied to wealth. If so, you have done nothing more that trade one master for another.
